Painted from Everest Base Camp, this work looks across the fractured surface of the Khumbu Glacier towards the immense walls of the Western Cwm beneath Everest. Layers of oil paint, collage and expressive mark-making reflect the movement of ice, stone and meltwater, where the landscape is in constant transition despite the enduring presence of the surrounding peaks.
