Painted from the experience of the final approach towards Point Lenana, Mount Kenya, before dawn.
Under moonlight, the mountain emerged from the darkness as the trail climbed towards the summit. The painting draws on that strange transition between night and first light, with the peaks suspended above a fractured landscape of rock and colour.
