The Thukla Valley opens towards three of the Khumbu's great peaks: Pumori, Lingtren and Khumbutse. Painted during the trek towards Everest Base Camp, this work explores the vast scale of the valley through layered oil paint, collage and expressive mark-making, balancing the stillness of the mountains with the movement of the glacial river.
