The Winding Trek to Dingboche
100 x 120 cm
Oil paint, collage and mixed media on canvas
Leaving Phakding, the trail follows the Dudh Koshi River through pine forests, suspension bridges and scattered villages before climbing steadily into the higher Khumbu. Rather than documenting a single viewpoint, this painting layers fragments gathered along the route towards Dingboche, allowing memory, landscape and movement to merge through expressive oil paint, collage and gestural mark-making.
