Night settles over the high alpine camps of Mount Kenya, where tents, figures and giant vegetation emerge briefly from the darkness beneath the mountain.
Painted from the journey towards Point Lenana, the work recalls the strange atmosphere of camp at altitude: headtorches, cold air and fragments of colour surrounded by an immense blue-black landscape. Above, the mountain seems almost suspended in the night, giving rise to the title Castles in the Sky.
