Painted from Gorak Shep as evening settled across the Khumbu, this work captures the final light catching the face of Pumori before the mountains disappeared into shadow. Layers of oil paint, collage and expressive mark-making evoke the stillness of dusk at high altitude, where colour fades and the landscape becomes increasingly elemental.
